Conservatives are generally in favor of smaller government, lower taxes, and strict adherence to the U.S. Constitution. Conservatives are also in favor of traditional morality and are often religious.

Areas that get mostly conservative votes are labeled as “red” states. Cities, even when they’re red, tend to be more liberal. However, there are plenty of cities that lean conservative. According to World Population Review, these are the most conservative cities in the U.S.

Lafayette, Louisiana

Louisiana is one of the states known for being very red, and many of its cities are also bright red. Lafayette is a city of more than 121,000, and it leans quite a bit toward the right.

Tyler, Texas

As the smallest city on this list, Tyler, Texas, doesn’t get much attention, but it’s a highly red city. Its 112,000 people tend to vote Republican and try to uphold conservative values.

Another city in Texas, cities in this state make up five of the 10 cities on this list. With more than 122,000 residents, this small city is ready to keep voting Republican all the way.

Knoxville, Tennessee

Once the site of the World’s Fair, today the city has about 200,000 people. It’s a scenic place to go with plenty of natural beauty, and many conservatives tend to vote for the right.

Frisco, Texas

With more than 236,400 residents, Frisco is one of the larger cities in the U.S.  that leans Republican. It’s highly conservative and isn’t looking for things to change too quickly.

Carrollton, Texas

This small city of 134,000 has a lot of parks and more than 15,000 businesses. It’s located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and has a strong history of voting red at every level of government.

Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Most of the 171,000 people in this small Tennessee city vote to keep this city red. It’s a conservative city in an overall conservative state that’s located in one of the most conservative regions of the country.

Chattanooga, Tennessee

Chattanooga is a highly scenic city of 186,000 that’s full of lookout points and other things to see and experience. Chattanooga leans very much toward the right, and the city has long been conservative.

Scottsdale, Arizona

A great place for retirement and leisure time, Scottsdale has a population of about 244,000. The city has an older demographic, and it leans heavily toward conservative candidates in elections.

Plano, Texas

As the largest city on this list, it has a population of more than 292,000. Cities of this size are usually liberal, but not Plano. It’s a very red area in a state that’s traditionally been conservative.
