Each of the 50 states has its own general culture and traditions. According to important statistics, some states are better places to live than others. When it comes to quality of life there are some states that win hand’s down.

If you’re looking for a place to move for a better life, these top 15 states each have something special to offer.

 

Wyoming

This year, the best state to live in is Wyoming, says The World Population Review. It’s the top pick for affordability and has the best economy of all the states. It also has a respectable level of safety from crime and is number one for the opportunities available there.

 

Vermont

A highly scenic state, Vermont isn’t just a great place for maple syrup and turning leaves. It’s a very safe state that also has the best school system in the country.

 

South Dakota

This Great Plains state ranks extremely well for affordability. It also has a great educational system and plenty of opportunities available for those who live there.

 

New Hampshire

This leafy New England state is the safest state in the country when it comes to crime statistics. It also has a great healthcare system and an impressive school system.

 

Massachusetts

Massachusetts may not be very affordable, it ranks 48 in affordability, but it makes up for this with its high degree of safety and its great healthcare system. It also has the top schools out of all the states.

 

North Dakota

Like its southern sibling, North Dakota ranks very well when it comes to affordability. It also has a robust economy and has a lot of opportunities for those who want to live there.

 

New Jersey

New Jersey isn’t one of the most affordable states, but it does have the second-best schools in the nation. It’s also highly safe and has great infrastructure. New Jersey is the state that has the most millionaires out of all the states.

With very low crime and good education and healthcare, it’s easy to see why so many people love being in Maine. The lobster and other seafood aren’t bad, either.
