People love their love songs; some have been more enduring than others. The most popular among these songs are all memorable and full of feeling. If you’re looking for love songs to play the next time you feel romantic, all of these would be great ones to listen to.

While everyone defines a love song differently (someone might call a song romantic while another thinks it’s tragic), there are just some songs that many people agree are the perfect love songs.

How did they find out which songs are the most popular?

Using a Spotify playlist miner tool, they scraped the most popular songs featured in themed playlists for the keywords “love,” “romantic,” and “Valentine’s Day.”

They then pulled the top featured 100 songs per keyword, analyzing the total U.S. search volume for each song using the template “[song name] song” to determine America’s most popular love songs.

According to Preply, these are the most popular love songs in the U.S.

Yellow, Coldplay
